I am Maria Eugenia Cardoso, CEO/Principal of Hands On Marketing. Born and raised in Campinas, Sao Paulo (Brazil), I have demonstrated, since my very early years, a deep passion for Marketing. I would recite TV commercials for my mom and ask her to try new products at the grocery store.
In 1998 I received my bachelor’s degree in Marketing Communications from ESPM (Escola Superior de Propaganda e Marketing), considered the best in the country, and began my career working for companies such as Kodak and Motorola.

In 2000 I moved to the US to work at the Motorola headquarters in Schaumburg, IL and in 2003 I received my master’s in Integrated Marketing Communications from the Medill School of Journalism, at Northwestern University.

After 13 years with Motorola, I chose to become a consultant and work closely with clients from a variety of industries, understanding their needs and developing tailor-made strategies to help improve their bottom lines.

In 2013 I returned to my native country, Brazil, and spent a few years working in brand licensing at Brazil’s most renowned agency, Redibra. Now I am back to what I enjoy the most: consulting.

I am married to an amazing guy, have 3 wonderful daughters, own a dog named Icy, and cycling is my passion.
